The Famous Zenobia Wreck

Located just off the coast of Larnaca, the Zenobia is considered one of the best wreck dives in the world.

The Swedish ferry sank on her maiden voyage in 1980 and now rests on the seabed with much of her cargo still in place. Divers can explore massive cargo decks, trucks, staircases and corridors, making every dive a unique experience.

Because of its depth and size, the Zenobia is generally recommended for certified and experienced divers.

The Edro III

Although the Edro III is one of the most photographed shipwrecks in Cyprus, it isn’t a dive site.

The cargo ship ran aground near the Sea Caves in Peyia during rough weather in 2011 and has remained there ever since. Today, it’s one of the area’s most recognisable landmarks and a favourite spot for photographers, especially at sunset.

While you can’t dive the wreck itself, it’s well worth visiting if you’re exploring the west coast of Cyprus.
