St.Georges Island

The church of Agios Georgios overlooks the beach and you can enjoy water sports such as snorkelling and scuba-diving.There’s a lovely little harbour with traditional Cypriot fishing boats a cafe and a local family-run fish restaurant which is well worth a visit,if you look up towards the old church from the harbour you can see the ancient tombs that have been cut into the rock.
It’s also of archaeological interest as the nearby remains of an ancient Basilica with floor mosaics still visible.
