With this excursion, you will have the opportunity to visit historical sites around Limassol and learn about Cyprus’ ancient and medieval history, including the period of the Knights and the Crusades.

You will also have the chance to discover the myths and legends of Cyprus associated with Aphrodite, including a visit to her legendary birthplace.

Our first stop will be Kourion, an ancient city-kingdom founded in the 10th century BC, traditionally linked to the participants of the Trojan War. There, you will admire impressive mosaics and the ancient amphitheatre, which is still in use today and can accommodate up to 3,500 visitors.

We will then continue to Kolossi Castle, once an important defensive stronghold during the Crusader period in Cyprus.

The excursion also includes free time in Limassol, where you can enjoy a stroll along the picturesque seafront promenade, explore the charming narrow streets of the old town, and visit Limassol Castle — a remarkable medieval monument where Richard the Lionheart is said to have married.
